Numbers

Every call your team places or takes runs on a number you own. Admin → Numbers is that inventory, split into four tabs — Users, Shared, Vendor and Outbound Pool — one for each kind of number. Each tab label carries a live count, and clicking a row opens that number’s settings.

The tab you buy under decides what the number is for, and that never changes. Nothing moves a number from one tab to another, and its settings screen has no control to re-point it. If you buy one in the wrong place, the only fix is to release it and buy another.

Tab Who a call to it reaches Buy one when
Users One team member — it’s their caller ID when they dial by hand, and it rings them when someone calls back Anyone who dials or takes calls needs one of their own
Shared Whoever’s free in the campaigns you point it at You advertise a number, or you want one line feeding a queue
Vendor The campaigns a partner feeds — it’s that partner’s tracked line A partner sends you live calls (you buy it from the vendor, not here)
Outbound Pool Nobody you point it at — the only calls it takes are leads ringing back the number that dialed them You want outbound calls to show a number local to the person being called

Three of the four tabs list numbers. The Users tab lists members instead — one row per person, with their number in a column — so it’s the one place a row can exist with no number behind it.

Column What it means
Number The number, with its friendly name above it when you’ve given it one
Presence Where the number is from, as city, state. A dash means no location came back with it — which matters most in the outbound pool, where location is how a number gets picked
Campaign Which campaigns the number feeds. Two or more reads as Acme Q3 +1 — the campaign whose hold music and wait time callers get, then a count of the rest. On Shared, a number feeding none reads Unassigned in amber; on Vendor it’s a plain dash
Recording on or off for this number
Status active, pending, or failed

Campaign is on Shared and Vendor only — a pool number feeds nothing, and a member’s number rings the member. Status is on every tab except Users.

A brand-new number often lands as pending: the order is placed but the carrier hasn’t finished it. It becomes active on its own, and the list re-checks pending orders every time you open it or press Refresh. Until it’s active the number is inert both ways — nothing dials from it, and a call to it reaches nobody.

Above the tabs, on every tab, is your credit line: 12 of 20 number credits in use, plus an 8 left badge that turns amber at zero. Every number counts, whatever tab it’s on.

Tab How you buy
Users Assign number on the member’s own row
Shared Buy Number
Vendor Not here — from that vendor’s own Numbers tab
Outbound Pool Buy Number, which offers a single number or the pool-coverage wizard

Nothing is ever bought for you. There’s no automatic provisioning anywhere in Helix Dialer: a new member has no number until an admin buys them one, and an empty pool stays empty.

Refresh re-reads the whole inventory.
