Numbers
The Numbers tab only appears on an inbound vendor. It does two things: it gets the vendor a phone number, and it gives you the page you send the partner so they know where to send calls.
Number feeding this vendor
Section titled “Number feeding this vendor”A vendor has a single number, bought for it and permanently bound. It can’t be moved to another vendor, to a campaign, or into the outbound pool. Every call arriving on it is attributed to this vendor.
Archiving a vendor from this screen never gives its number up — it stays attached and keeps billing. Releasing it is a separate, deliberate act; see below.
Before you buy one, the card reads No number yet. Buy one for this vendor below.
Buying it
Section titled “Buying it”Click Buy Number, type an Area code (e.g. 512) and search. Each result shows the number, whether it’s Local or Toll-Free, the city and state, and the monthly rate. Buy asks you to confirm, and the confirmation says plainly that the number will be ordered and billed to your account.
Once bought, the card lists the number with its city and state and a status:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| active | Bought and ready to take calls |
| pending | The order is still going through |
| failed | The order didn’t complete — the number won’t take calls |
Transfer instructions
Section titled “Transfer instructions”This is the handoff for your transfer partner: a printable page carrying the number to send calls to, a SIP endpoint — an internet-calling address — for partners who’d rather connect that way, and an availability check they can run before transferring.
Open transfer instructions ↗ opens it. Copy link puts the address on your clipboard to paste into an email.
If the vendor has never had an access key, the card offers Generate instructions key instead. Press it once and the buttons appear.
What your partner sees
Section titled “What your partner sees”- Transfer targets — the phone number to dial, and the SIP endpoint beside it. If you haven’t bought a number yet, the page says so rather than showing a blank table.
- Check agent availability (PING) — an address they can call with the caller’s number before transferring. It answers whether an agent is free to take that caller right now.
- Send lead data (optional) — the same lead posting covered on Post API, so the partner can send the caller’s name and location before or as they transfer. That’s what puts details on the agent’s screen the moment the call connects.
The availability check is answered from the campaigns this vendor feeds and the agents ticked to take its calls, both set on General. A vendor missing either one answers unavailable to every check, and a partner who checks before transferring will simply send you nothing.
